Ontario is rich in agricultural and forestry resources, and possesses the largest food processing sector in the country. Ontario is uniquely positioned to derive great economic and social value from harnessing its natural resources and resolving waste issues to become an innovative leader in feedstock supply and end-use applications, such as biofuels, biopower and biochemicals. These provincial innovations should enable Ontario to benefit from job creation, economic growth, trade, education and social innovation.

Join our breakfast briefing as we examine these opportunities from the following perspectives:

A startup with a waste treatment and energy production technology (Elementa Group Inc.)
A larger market player who will discuss his experience in getting to market and offer his insights as a customer for new innovations (Greenfield Ethanol)
An industry association representative who will provide an overview of the barriers and opportunities in this market (Canadian Renewable Fuels Association)
An investor who will provide his perspective on the challenges of financing/investing in bio-based innovation companies and technologies (Investeco)
This is an opportunity to not only fully engage in a discussion about the development of Ontario’s bio-based economy, but also to network with experienced professionals from a variety of backgrounds – from entrepreneurs to investors to policy makers.
