On April 13, the Ontario Government announced its intention to join Quebec and California’s cap-and-trade market as part of its new climate action plan. With this new policy come important questions such as: what will be the impact on Ontario’s competitiveness? what are the risks and opportunities? what about systems transparency and how do we safeguard its integrity? As the Ontario Government works through the new cap-and-trade policy details, now is the time for business leaders to increase their understanding of this policy. The panel’s objective is to bring together leading government and business experts to share their practical experiences and policy expertise.
