CEP Toronto Presents: The Big Picture

Are you a recent graduate, stagnated in your current role, or looking to get into the environmental sector? CEP Toronto is excited to present its 1st event of the year on April 16th at the Office Pub.

Developing your career in the environmental sector can be challenging, given its continued growth and redefinition. Our Career Development Workshop will take a holistic approach to career development. The event will focus on 4-core aspects: career definition, network development, career pursuit, and entrepreneurship.

Speakers
Tim Gray, Executive Director of Environmental Defence
Michael Wymant, North American Energy & Sustainability Director, Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions

Victoria Alleyne, Executive Director of Career Skills Incubator
Anne Pringle, Co-founder of Local Buttons

Our expert panel will provide insight on what it means to be an Environmental Professional (EP). For example, is it possible to be an EP without having ‘sustainability’ in the title? How much value is there in developing connections and networks with established industry professionals? What tactics should you pursue or stay away from when actively building your career? And will entrepreneurship enhance your career prospects?

The objective of this event is to discuss the idea of continuous development as opposed to staged growth - no matter how far along or new you are in your career path, you are likely to encounter or revisit one of these aspects.

Fees
CEP members attend free and $10 for non-members. This includes one beverage and appetizers.
