The 2015 COP meeting at Paris will determine whether the world can start effectively reducing GHG emissions.
Lynn McDonald, Professor Emeritus, University of Guelph, will identify how setting a price on carbon could
enable Canada to assume a leadership role at this COP meeting.

Our Federal Government is AWOL on measures against climate change. Could the Provinces initiate carbon pricing
mechanisms that will take in all of Canada? Kristyn Annis, a former policy advisor to the Ontario Government and
now the President of Canadians for a Clean Prosperity, will explain.

Two methods are frequently proposed – "Cap and Trade" and a Carbon Tax. Cap and trade and carbon tax are two distinct policies aimed at reducing GHG emissions. Our Forum Panelists will present the case for each of these methods.
