CEP IS RECRUITING:


1. Director of Marketing


Objective: The Director of Marketing plays a critical role in supporting the management team with promotion of upcoming CEPToronto events as well as monitoring social media networks and the organization email. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure events are promoted thoroughly through different channels
  • Creates outreach emails and delegates promotion through management team.
  • Establishes an annual marketing strategy
  • Establishes social media responsibilities for management team
  • Design printed communication pieces including signs, banners, business cards
  • Creates volunteer position and descriptions if necessary
  • Recruit and select volunteers as required
  • Establishes individual and organizational partnerships


Time Commitment:

  • Regular attendance at CEP Toronto meetings and event
  •  4-6 hours/week (variable)

Publicity:

  • Name and biography will be listed on CEP Toronto’s website on the Management Team webpage

2. Director of Finance


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the organization's annual budget
  • Track financials for quarterly events
  • Manage the banking, legal and insurance requirements
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities
  • Assit in applying for grant fundings
  • Support management team on financial and legal issues
  • Manage volunteers required for responsibilities and tasks
  • Promote the organization
  • Assist in managing external partnerships
  • Liaise with advisory panel and/or board of directors when required 

A note from our previous Director of Finance:
"As Director of Finance and development, I worked with the management team to develop and finalize the yearly budget. Keeping track of expenses throughout the month was key in order to always have access to an updated financial profile. Being available to attend monthly meetings was important so we could always plan CEP's events as a team, and attending and coordinating finances at events was definitely one of the many highlights of the role!"

Time Commitment: 
  •  Regular attendance at CEP Toronto meetings and events
  • 4-6 hours/week (variable).

3. Advisor


We are looking for two Advisors to assist in shaping and giving strategic direction to the organization. Our Advisors should be well established individuals in Toronto's sustainability sector.


Objective:  

  • Provide strategic guidance to CEP Toronto’s management team, focusing on the development and long term growth of the organization. 
  • Help make connections between CEP Toronto and Toronto's sustainability community 
  • Enhance visibility of CEP Toronto within the greater Toronto area 
Responsibilities: 
  • Review strategic program and growth initiatives brought forward by CEP Toronto's management team and partners 
  • Assist with obtaining speakers for events to attract new and existing CEP Toronto members 
  • External communication support through the sharing CEP Toronto announcements, resources and events 
  • Provide any insights or overviews of major sustainability trends that CEP Toronto should be made aware of to remain timely and relevant within the sustainability sector 

Typical Matters of Advisor Involvement:
  • Introduction to strategic members in Toronto's environmental sustainability community 
  • Involvement at CEP Toronto semi-annual strategy meetings  
Time Commitments:
  • Regular attendance at CEP Toronto meetings - approximately 4 times per year including the semi-annual strategy meetings 
  • Intermittent connections with (mainly through the Vice President) on any matters that require Advisory support or feedback

  • Names and biographies will be listed on CEP Toronto’s Management Team webpage.
